Flower Season

This view is to wet your appetite to show what you can expect during the flower season.

Start planning ahead to come and see natures wonderland of flowers. It's not to early to book your accommodation.  If you leave it to late you won't find a room as it has become one of the events of the year. The flowers bloom from about late July, and in some areas until October.This will of course depend on how much rain we get during  the Winter months. The area they cover is from The West Coast National Park,  all the way up to just north of Springbok. So give yourself a treat and come visit, and while your doing that we would love to see you. Don't forget your camera.

Whale watching

Week-End Special.

Why not take a break and come up and visit so that your can experience for yourself the wonders of the West Coast. Arrive on a Friday night and go home after lunch on the Sunday. The two days will include accommodation, dinner, lunch(drinks not included),and a  boat ride , weather permitting, all for an incredible price of R950 each two people sharing.

This bi-annual event is being held in Velddrif between the 6th and 9th of August.  Further details will be posted nearer the event.

Sports Events

Looking for somewhere to see your favourite sport,  and want to meet up with friends and have a drink in a great atmosphere, try The High Tide Restaurant & Pub in the Harbour Centre at Port Owen. They have a wide screen TV, and its great to watch the Soccer, Rugby, Grand Prix racing, MotoGP, and, in July, Wimbledon.
