Gideon Estates specialises in marina, riverfront, lagoon, beach and coastal properties in the Strandveld region of the South African Western Cape. This region is situated on the West Coast is 140klms north of Cape Town, and takes about one and half hours to get here.
This beautiful and peaceful part of the country offers you wide open spaces, wonderful watersport and unspoilt scenery. It has become the place to be for the discerning nature lover, and if your into boats, there is nothing to rival it.

These boats shown at Laaiplek harbour are part of a fleet of eight boats that regularly catch anchovies,mullet and sardines. When landed are processed at the fish factory at the industrial complex. This provides much needed employment in the area.
Sport and recreational fishing brings visitors and tourists to the area, boosting the local economy.
The area consists of three main centres. Velddrif, which is just after the bridge over the Berg River, Port Owen/Admiral Island and Laaiplek. The three centres offer very different styles of housing, and depending on your requirement, we feel sure that we can accommodate most tastes.
